The present Application under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed seeking anticipatory bail in connection with FIR/Case Crime No. 391 of 2025, registered at Police Station Laksar, District Haridwar, for offences punishable under Sections 3, 5 read with Section 11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007.
As per the prosecution case, the FIR was lodged on 05.04.2025 on the basis of secret information received by the police that certain persons were illegally slaughtering a cow in a field.
