India, Dec. 30 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

Union Minister for Rural Development , Agriculture and Farmers Welfare , Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan , today chaired a national - level dialogue via video conferencing with representatives of MNREGA workers from various states and union territories . The Developing India - Guarantee for Employment and Livelihoods Mission ( Rural ) Act , 2025 was discussed .​​​​​​​

More than 200,000 MNREGA workers from approximately 45,000 locations across the country participated in the talks . The primary objective of the talks was to reassure MNREGA workers that the new Act would not disrupt their service and that efforts would be made through the state government to ensure that they would continue in their employment as before .​​​​​​​​​​

इस अवसर पर मनरेगा कर्मियों के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ एक संवादात्मक सत्र भी आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें सभी ने वीबी-जी राम जी अधिनियम 2025 का स्वागत किया और केन्द्रीय ग्रामीण विकास मंत्री को धन्यवाद देते हुए यह आश्वासन दिया कि वह अधिनियम को सफलतापूर्वक कार्यन्वित करने के लिए पूरी लगन से काम करेंगे। इसी के साथ उन्होंने नए अधिनियम के तहत अपनी सेवाओं को जारी रखने और मानदेय भुगतान के बारे में प्रश्न पूछे।

अपने संबोधन में केन्द्रीय ग्रामीण विकास मंत्री ने मनरेगा कर्मियों के प्रतिनिधियों को आश्वस्त किया कि, अधिनियम की धारा 37 (3) के तहत यह साफ है कि, मनरेगा में कार्यरत कर्मियों का रोजगार पूरी तरह सुरक्षित है एवं जो कर्मी मनरेगा कार्यन्वित कर रहे थे, वही वीबी-जी राम जी अधिनियम 2025 को भी कार्यन्वित करेंगे। उन्होंने यह भी दोहराया कि उनकी सेवा आगे भी जारी रखने से संबंधित प्रावधान का राज्यों के माध्यम से पालन सुनिश्चित किया जाएगा।

In response to questions related to salary payment , the Union Rural Development Minister also emphasized that the limit of expenditure on administrative items has been increased from 6 percent to 9 percent in the new Act , as a result of which , in future , not only will timely payment of salaries to the employees be ensured through the states but there is also a great possibility of improvement in their service conditions .

A presentation was also made on the VB - G Ramji Act , 2025 , outlining the features , objectives and implementation framework of the Act , with special emphasis on 125 days employment and inclusive provisions .​ ​​​

Finally , Union Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan once again assured the employees that their services will continue even after the implementation of the new Act , and this will be ensured in collaboration with the states .​
