The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) organized a grand and massive employment fair today at the Numaish Ground in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The fair was graced by the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Education, Government of India, Shri Jayant Chaudhary. The fair took the form of a "Mahakumbh of Employment."
On this occasion , Shri Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education and Skill Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh also joined , who while encouraging the youth, described this initiative as an important step towards the development of the state.
Two important announcements were also made during the event to promote skill development , innovation, and inclusive entrepreneurship. A Statement of Intent ( SOI) was exchanged between the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC ) and NITI Aayog's Women Entrepreneurship Platform ( WEP) . This initiative aims to empower women-led enterprises in Uttar Pradesh and transform them from traditional , limited-income occupations into formal , sustainable, and scalable enterprises. Under this initiative, women associated with Self-Help Groups ( SHGs) will be provided entrepreneurship-based skills training , formal financial support (credit linking) , shared and standard-compliant infrastructure , and access to domestic and global markets. Additionally , the program will coordinate with various government schemes and enhance their impact. This initiative will not only increase women's incomes but also strengthen the rural economy , boost local employment generation, and advance women's economic and social participation.
At the same event, an important report titled "AI Sentiment and Readiness," prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship , Chaudhary Charan Singh University, and Google Cloud, was also released. It highlights the growing awareness , acceptance, and aspirations of Artificial Intelligence among the country's youth and teachers . According to the report , over 85 percent of students and 73 percent of teachers consider AI a positive and transformative force for the future. 76 percent of youth themselves aspire to develop AI-based solutions , indicating India's transition from being a "consumer" to a "creator." 81 percent of teachers are willing to embrace the use of AI in education , while 90 percent of students feel the need to make AI available in their mother tongue , ensuring the benefits of technology reach the last person in society. This initiative is a significant step towards implementing advanced concepts like "Personalized AI Tutors" in the education sector. The program was attended by Mr. Rajat Arora , Country Manager - Government Affairs and Public Policy , Google ; Dr. Pradeep Chaudhary , Chaudhary Charan Singh University , Meerut ; and Prof. Mardul Kumar Gupta , Senior Professor , Chaudhary Charan Singh University , Meerut .
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath said that Chaudhary Charan Singh Ji vigorously conveyed the issues of farmers to the governments. It is my good fortune that today I have the opportunity to unveil the statue of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar Ji on the sacred land of Chaudhary Ajit Singh Ji. Lokmata Holkar and Chaudhary Saheb have contributed to the country. It is because of their contributions that we are all here. Chaudhary Charan Singh Ji always spoke about villages , youth , farms and farmers. Therefore, the inspiration of great men will take us all forward. I pay my heartfelt tribute to the memories of Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Charan Singh Ji, former Prime Minister of India, known as the messiah of India's food providers.

इस अवसर पर राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार), कौशल विकास और उद्यमशीलता एवं शिक्षा राज्य मंत्री, भारत सरकार, श्री जयन्त चौधरी ने अपने संबोधन में कहा, "यह रोजगार महाकुंभ केवल नौकरियां देने का मंच नहीं है, बल्कि यह हमारे युवाओं के सपनों को साकार करने का एक सशक्त माध्यम है। आज एक विशेष अवसर है। दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले युवाओं और छात्रों को बड़े अवसर मिले हैं। हमारी सरकार का प्रयास है कि सभी को एक समान अवसर मिले। इस दिशा में कौशल महोत्सव एक मील का पत्थर साबित हो रहा है। एग्रीकल्चर, ड्रोन और एआई के क्षेत्र में भी नवाचार लगातार बढ़ता जा रहा है। आज युवाओं के लिए अवसरों के नए द्वार खुले हैं। आज विश्वविद्यालयों में पेटेंट फाइल हो रहे हैं। एक वर्ष में पेटेंट में 27 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हुई है। हमारा लक्ष्य है कि युवा केवल नौकरी पाने वाले न बनें, बल्कि स्किल्स, इनोवेशन और टेक्नोलॉजी के माध्यम से रोजगार सृजित करने वाले बनें। एआई और स्किलिंग के जरिए हम भारत को विश्व की स्किल कैपिटल बनाने की दिशा में तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहे हैं।"
उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार में व्यावसायिक शिक्षा एवं कौशल विकास राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) कपिल देव अग्रवाल ने भी इस पहल की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि यह आयोजन युवाओं और महिलाओं दोनों के लिए नए अवसरों का द्वार खोलेगा और स्थानीय अर्थव्यवस्था को नई गति प्रदान करेगा। इस ऐतिहासिक आयोजन में प्रतिष्ठित राष्ट्रीय एवं अंतरराष्ट्रीय कंपनियों ने भाग लिया और अनेक रोजगार के अवसर एक ही स्थान पर उपलब्ध कराए गए।
बड़ी संख्या में पहुंचे युवाओं ने उत्साहपूर्वक इसमें भाग लिया और विभिन्न सेक्टरों जैसे मैन्युफैक्चरिंग, रिटेल, आईटी, हेल्थकेयर, लॉजिस्टिक्स और सर्विस सेक्टर में रोजगार के लिए आवेदन किया। अनेक उम्मीदवारों को मौके पर ही चयनित किए जाने की प्रक्रिया ने इस आयोजन को और भी प्रभावी बना दिया। यह मेला उद्योग जगत और युवाओं के बीच एक सशक्त सेतु के रूप में उभरा, जिसने रोजगार की प्रक्रिया को सरल, पारदर्शी और सुलभ बनाया।
During the event , the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship ( MSDE) also showcased its various flagship programmes and initiatives , including the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana , the skilling initiative SOAR (Skilling for AI Readiness), and the Skill India Digital Hub . The DGT 's Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITI (PM-SETU) scheme , and the notable work and achievements of NIESBUD, Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) , and the National Skill Development Corporation ( NSDC ) were also showcased .
This mega job fair , initiatives to empower women entrepreneurship, and steps towards AI-based education will prove to be an important milestone in making Uttar Pradesh a leader in the fields of skills , employment, and innovation. This event will not only provide new opportunities to the state's youth but will also play a vital role in preparing them for the economy of the future. In the future, such initiatives will further empower the state economically , socially, and technologically and will significantly contribute to the creation of a 'self-reliant India.'
