Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah paid humble tributes to the great patriot and nationalist litterateur Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay ji on his death anniversary.
In a post released on ' X' , Shri Amit Shah said , " Bankim Babu did an unforgettable job of awakening the self-respect of Indians hurt by the exploitation and injustice of the Mughal invaders and the British rulers. Through 'Vande Mataram', he gave a unifying voice to the freedom struggle divided by language , region and province. This country, this civilization and this great culture will remain eternally indebted to Bankim Babu , who brought alive the grand form of Mother India before the countrymen through 'Anand Math' and inspired the youth to defend their freedom and motherland. "
