Union Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has taken a serious view of the plight of litchi farmers in Bihar and has taken prompt and sensitive action. Following the farmers' raising the issue of crop damage caused by the litchi sting bug, an expert task force was immediately formed, under Shri Shivraj Singh's direction, to visit the affected areas and provide a report and solutions.
