AGARTALA, India, Feb. 24 -- Tripura High Court issued the following order/judgement on Jan. 22:
Heard learned counsel of both sides.
During hearing, Mr. Prabal Kumar Ghosh, learned counsel for the applicant Ravi Kumar submits that he is not pressing the petition. Accordingly, the bail application is rejected as not pressed.
Mr. Ghosh, learned counsel, however, further submits that there are only five numbers of witnesses cited in the charge sheet. In that circumstance, trial may be expedited as the accused persons are in custody.
Considered the submission.
Learned Trial Court will also take endeavour to dispose of the case expeditiously considering the fact that the accused persons are in custody.
Return the case diary to learned P.P. Also re-consign the LC record to learned Trial Court.
In terms of the above, the bail application is disposed of.
