India, Dec. 4 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

The flow of visitors from South India continues for Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0. Late Wednesday night, the second group, including a large teachers' delegation, arrived at Varanasi Railway Station by special train. Upon landing, the guests were given a grand welcome with traditional drum playing, flower showers, and chants of "Har Har Mahadev" and "Vanakkam Kashi."

Minister of State (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Mishra "Dayalu" and Varanasi Mayor Ashok Tiwari were present at the reception. Both greeted the guests, informing them about Kashi's cultural affinity and the historical Tamil-Kashi ties.

The Tamil delegation was thrilled by the traditional welcome at the station. Many remarked that the warmth and spiritual atmosphere they experienced in Kashi was unforgettable. The sound of the drum beats filled the entire area with Shiva, clearly demonstrating the cultural unity of Kashi and Tamil Nadu.

According to the program's schedule, the delegates from Tamil Nadu will visit and worship at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham today. They will then visit the banks of the Ganges, the ghats, and the city's major cultural and educational sites. Organizing committee members stated that special programs have been designed to introduce the guests to Kashi's rich heritage, art, culture, and spirituality.

The aim of the "Kashi Tamil Sangamam" is to revive the ancient cultural, religious, and educational ties between Kashi and Tamil Nadu. This is its fourth edition, with representatives from various fields-education, culture, literature, arts, and industry-participating.
