The first meeting of the newly constituted Hindi Advisory Committee of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, chaired by the Hon'ble Minister of Commerce and Industry , Shri Piyush Goyal, was held today at Vanijya Bhawan , New Delhi.
Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Hon'ble Shri Jitin Prasad , MP Shri Satish Gautam , MP Shri Bhojraj Nag , MP Shri Mahendra Bhatt, Secretary of the Department and other government and non-government members of the Committee were present in the meeting .
Minister of State Jitin Prasada stated that this meeting is extremely important in promoting the use of the official language, Hindi. He said that the suggestions made by the committee members will further strengthen the use of Hindi in the department.
At the beginning of the meeting , tribute was paid to the late famous actor Dharmendra ji, who made an important contribution in the spread of Hindi language in the country through films.
Suggestions and Decisions for Hindi Promotion
At the meeting, the committee members presented several important suggestions for promoting the official language, Hindi. Based on these suggestions, Honorable Minister Shri Piyush Goyal directed the department to take the following steps:
The Honourable Minister also said that active participation of all officers and employees is necessary in the promotion of the official language Hindi.
