The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey today informed Lok Sabha that the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is implementing skilling interventions for the tribal population under the scheme of Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA). Under this initiative, a target has been set to establish 30 Tribal Skilling Centres across the country for training 1,000 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVKs) and tribal groups. As on date, 30 Tribal Skilling Centres have been established across 30 districts, with an enrolment of 22,768 beneficiaries in 1,131 batches. Further, 300 VDVKs have been sanctioned, out of which progress has been reported in 264 VDVKs.
The details of the skill centres established by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in thirty districts across country are placed at Annexure-I.
As on date, 30 Tribal Skilling Centres have been established, and 264 VDVKs have been trained. Details are placed at Annexure-I.
