The first meeting of the reconstituted Hindi Salahkar Samiti of the Ministry of Environment , Forest and Climate Change was held today on 20th January , 2026 at Teesta Auditorium , Indira Paryavaran Bhawan , New Delhi . The meeting was chaired by the Hon'ble Minister of Environment , Forest and Climate Change , Shri Bhupendra Yadav . Hon'ble Members of Parliament from both the Houses of Parliament, Shri Mithlesh Kumar , Smt. Maya Narolia and Smt. Kamlesh Jangde and eminent Hindi scholars attended the meeting . The Secretary , Additional Secretary , other senior officers of the Ministry , besides the in - charges of the offices under the Ministry also participated in the meeting .
Addressing the Committee members , the Chairman , the Honorable Minister of Environment , Forest and Climate Change , expressed his commitment to the promotion of Hindi . He emphasized that Hindi is a good medium of communication and that everyone , especially the Ministry 's officials and employees , should use simple Hindi so that the Ministry 's content and plans can be easily conveyed to the public and understood . Speaking about the complexity of the language , he said that we should use simple Hindi . A person 's signature reflects their personality . We should sign our signatures in Hindi only . He advised that Ministry officials should start by signing in Hindi and then make at least one comment in Hindi once a month , and gradually develop the habit of working in Hindi .
The Honourable Members of the Committee gave their valuable suggestions for promoting the use of Hindi in the Ministry of Environment , Forest and Climate Change and the offices under its control . At the end of the meeting , the Honourable Secretary thanked the Committee members and assured them that he would take appropriate action on the suggestions made by the members and would make every possible effort to promote the use of Hindi in the Ministry 's work .
