SHIMLA, Himachal Pradesh, Aug. 12 -- The Department of Information and Public Relations, Himachal Pradesh issued the following press release:

The state government has released Rs. 2 crore in form of one month's over time allowance and night time overtime to the drivers and conductors as promised during the recent meeting of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) Drivers Union with Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri.

During the meeting, consensus was reached on the main demands of the union and many important decisions were implemented immediately.

Mukesh Agnihotri said that protecting the interests of employees and pensioners is the priority of the government, and all the problems will be resolved in a phased manner.

He added that an approval has been given to the HRTC to take a loan of Rs. 150 crore on government guarantee.

The Deputy Chief Minister also praised SP Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi and his team for their recent success in tracing and handing over three abducted school children to their families within 24 hours and arresting the kidnapper.
