India, Sept. 1 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

With an aim to increase awareness about the official language Hindi and to promote greater use of Hindi in government work , the Department of Fertilizers launched Hindi Pakhwada-2026 on 1st September 2026. The programme was organized under the guidance of Joint Secretary Shri Anurag Rohatgi and was enthusiastically participated by the officers and staff of the Department.

On this occasion, Mr. Anurag Rohatgi extended his best wishes to all officers and employees for the Hindi Fortnight, stating that Hindi is not only our official language but also an important part of the country's rich linguistic and cultural heritage. He urged all personnel to use Hindi as much as possible and to promote its use in government work.

He said that maximum use of Hindi in government work strengthens our commitment towards the official language, for this active participation of all officers and employees is necessary.

In this context, a Hindi essay writing competition was organized for the department's officers and employees. A large number of officers and employees participated in this competition.

Mr. Amit Pal , Mr. Sanjeet, Mrs. Sunita Negi, Ms. Priyanka Suryavanshi, Mr. Ajay Kumar, Mr. Mayank Arya, Mr. Mohammad Taufiq Hussain, Mr. Roopendra Singh, Mr. Atul, Mr. Dev Kumar Saini, Ms. Alka Kumari, Ms. Kavya Srivastava, Ms. Khushi Meena, Ms. Meenakshi Singh, Mr. Surya Prakash Thapliyal and Mr. Vijay Kumar Jha participated in the essay writing competition.

Vimala Dahiya, Deputy Director (Official Language) in the Fertilizer Department, said that during the entire fortnight, various programs and competitions will be organized to increase awareness about the Hindi language and to encourage greater use of Hindi in official work.
