The Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports headed by Shri Digvijaya Singh, M.P., Rajya Sabha presented 376th Report of the Committee to both the Houses of Parliament on 25th March, 2026 which is as under:
2. The Committee scrutinized the various aspects of the Demands for Grants of the Department of School Education and Literacy in its meeting held on 20th February, 2026. During the course of the preparation of the 376th Report, the Committee discussed the matter thoroughly and heard the views of Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, the representatives of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), National Bal Bhavan (NBB) etc. The panel also consulted the Department of School Education and Literacy through different questionnaires, so as, to have a deep insight on the Demands for Grants 2026-27. The Observations/ Recommendations made by the Committee in these Reports are enclosed herewith.
3. The Report was considered and adopted by the Committee at its meeting held on 23rd March, 2026.
