As part of the "Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0" event, the Press Information Bureau organized a "Conversation Program" (media workshop) in Varanasi today. Approximately 100 journalists participated in the workshop. The media workshop was addressed by the Chief Guest, Mr. Dayashankar Mishra "Dayalu," Minister of State (Independent Charge), AYUSH, Food Safety and Drug Administration, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and the Guest of Honor, Mr. S. Rajalingam, Divisional Commissioner of Varanasi, addressed the media workshop.

Professor Prabhakar Singh of Banaras Hindu University, President of Kashi Journalist Association Mr. Arun Mishra, Deputy General Manager of Bank of Baroda Mr. Manoj Kumar Bakshi and Director of Press Information Bureau Dilip Kumar Shukla also participated in the workshop.

In the media workshop, along with the organization of 'Kashi Tamil Sangam', the works being done by the Central Government for public welfare were also discussed, which included Child Marriage Free India Campaign, efforts related to disposal of unclaimed assets of the public in banks, etc.

Addressing the event, Chief Guest and Minister in the Uttar Pradesh Government, Mr. Dayashankar Mishra 'Dayalu' said that organizing the 'Kashi Tamil Sangam' is the brainchild of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. Mr. Mishra said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has attempted to revive the tradition of cultural exchange between North and South India through the 'Kashi Tamil Sangam'. He said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has undertaken historic work for the development of Kashi, and as a result, approximately 26 crore devotees and tourists have visited Kashi in the last four years, which reflects the cultural charm of Varanasi.

Addressing the workshop, the special guest of the program and Divisional Commissioner of Varanasi, Shri Rajalingam said that organizing 'Kashi Tamil Sangamam' not only revives the exchange and tradition of cultures of North and South India but also strengthens the unity and integrity of the nation. The Divisional Commissioner said that it is the attraction of Kashi and Rameshwaram that encourages the people of North India to visit South India and the people of South India to visit North India. The Divisional Commissioner said that this cultural exchange between North and South India is centuries old and through 'Kashi Tamil Sangamam' it is visible in a new form.

Addressing the program, Professor Prabhakar Singh of Banaras Hindu University said that the Kashi Tamil Sangamam provides an opportunity for people from both places to learn about each other's great personalities who have made significant contributions to nation-building, and it strengthens our cultural unity.

Addressing the media workshop, President of the Kashi Journalists' Association, Arun Mishra, stated that journalism is the fourth pillar of democracy, and therefore, has the responsibility of acting as a vigilant watchdog. He emphasized that journalism plays a significant role in nation-building. Mishra emphasized that journalism should be independent and impartial, acting as a link between the government and the public. He emphasized that the core of journalism is to inform the administration about public problems and to inform the public about the actions being taken by the administration.

Mr. Manoj Kumar Bakshi, Deputy General Manager of Bank of Baroda, also participated in the workshop. Mr. Bakshi informed the audience about the Ministry of Finance's campaign to resolve unclaimed assets lying with banks and provided information on how to recover these unclaimed assets.

Dilip Kumar Shukla, Director of the Press Information Bureau, also addressed the workshop. Director Mr. Shukla thanked all the guests and fellow journalists for participating in the workshop.
