India, Feb. 25 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

A programme for promotion of National Action for Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem (NAMASTE) Scheme by Government of India will be organized on 26-02-2026 at Gandhi Auditorium , Gandhi Stadium , Near Jeevan Rekha , Naksha , Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh).

During the programme, self-protection equipment ( PPE kits) and Ayushman cards will be distributed to sewer and septic tank workers ( SSWs) and waste pickers.

Apart from this, sewing machines will also be distributed to the beneficiaries receiving skill development training.

During the programme, information will be provided about the National Action for Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem (NAMASTE) scheme with the aim of ensuring respect and safety of sanitation workers and empowering them socially and economically.

This programme will witness a reaffirmation of the Government's commitment to " Priority to the Disadvantaged" , ensuring that those who have been historically disadvantaged or overlooked are provided with the appropriate support they deserve .

Union Minister of State , Minister of State of Uttar Pradesh Government , Honourable MLAs , District Administration officials , Senior Officials of National Safai Karamchari Finance and Development Corporation and other dignitaries are likely to be present in the above programme .
