As part of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0, a grand poster-making competition was held on Monday at the Faculty of Visual Arts , Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. The competition showcased a unique effort to weave together the cultural heritage of Kashi and Tamil Nadu. Based on the theme " Unity in Diversity, " over 150 students enthusiastically participated, expressing their imaginations through vibrant colors.

Students from various institutions , including Kashi Vidyapeeth and BHU, participated in the competition. Students created beautiful paintings based on the diverse traditions , customs , costumes , folk culture, and lifestyles of Kashi and South India. Amid a musical atmosphere, students captured their imaginations on canvas. The venue transformed into a hub of art and culture , with each poster depicting unity in diversity.

The children's artwork clearly reflected Kashi's ghat culture, the grandeur of its temples, South Indian dance forms, folk art, architecture, and spirituality. Some depicted scenes of the Ganga Aarti , while others depicted lifelike Bharatanatyam dance . One poster depicted the traditions of Kanchipuram , while another depicted the transcendental spirituality of Kashi. These paintings demonstrated that despite cultural differences, India is united.

Nodal Officer Professor Anchal Srivastava , Coordinator Professor Manish Arora , Professor Gyanendra Kumar Kanaujia, and Assistant Professor Krishna Singh made special contributions to the success of the program. Under the guidance of the Department of Applied Arts , Faculty of Visual Arts , BHU, the competition was conducted in a well-organized and creative environment. Encouraging the students, the organizers emphasized that art is not only a medium of expression but also a bridge across diverse cultures.

The students participating in the competition were extremely enthusiastic. Many expressed that this platform gives them the opportunity to understand and present their culture from a new perspective. During the event, it was also announced that the students who created the best posters would be honored on the main stage of Tamil Sangamam 4.0 . This further increased the students' enthusiasm for the competition.
