To develop integrated large scale and modern industrial infrastructure facility for entire value-chain of the textile industry, the Government has approved setting up of 7 (Seven) PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks in Greenfield/Brownfield sites with scheme outlay of Rs. 4,445 Crore for the period 2021-22 to 2027-28. The Government has finalised 7 sites viz. Tamil Nadu (Virudhnagar), Telangana (Warangal), Gujarat (Navsari), Karnataka (Kalaburagi), Madhya Pradesh (Dhar), Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow) and Maharashtra (Amravati) for setting up PM MITRA Parks. After completion, each PM MITRA Park is expected to generate approximately 3 lakh employment (1 lakh direct and 2 lakh indirect).
At present, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with all States and 100% land has been acquired for all the sites. Environmental Clearances have been received for all PM MITRA Parks. Joint Venture Agreements have been signed and SPVs incorporated for all 5 Greenfield sites. DPRs amounting to Rs.13,537 crore have been finalized for all 7 States. Investment interests amounting to Rs.68,590 crore have been received so far by the PM MITRA States.
