PATNA HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDERS ON SOVIT KUMAR SAURABH AND ORS. V/S RASHMI KUMARI AND ORS.

PATNA, India, May 6 -- Patna High Court issued the following order on April 2:

1. Heard the parties.

2. The respondent is absent though she was personally directed to appear today in Court chamber for amicable settlement.

3. The brother of appellant is present along with learned advocate appearing for appellant.

4. Learned advocate for the appellant has filed affidavit narrating the discussion that was held on 08.01.2026 between the learned advocate for the appellant and appellant personally on the court.

5. We have perused the averment and we did not find any wrong statement therein.

6. In view of such circumstance, respondent is directed to appear personally, positively, on 09.04.2026 to submit as to whether she is ready to the proposal for one time settlement which may be fixed at the highest side to the tune of Rs. 32 lakhs subject to settlement between the parties.

7. Till disposal of this case learned Trial Court shall not proceed with the hearing of Sessions Case No. 809 of 2015 pending before learned concerned court, district- Patna.
