PATNA, India, March 8 -- Patna High Court issued the following order on Feb. 5:
1. The interlocutory applications have been filed for substitution of heirs/legal representatives of appellant, Uma Shankar Chopra and expunging the name of the appellant, namely, Uma Shankar Chopra who died on 27.12.2013, leaving behind his heirs/legal representatives stated in the interlocutory applications.
2. Hence, I.A. No. 06 of 2023 and I.A No. 01 of 2014 are allowed.
3. Let the name of heirs/ legal representative of the ppellant, Uma Shankar Chopra stated in interlocutory applications be substituted in their place by expunging his name in the cause-title of the memo of appeal and also delay in filing the substitution petition is also hereby condoned.
Re:- I.A No. 05 of 2023
4. The aforesaid interlocutory application has been pressed for condoning the delay in filing the substitution petition.
5. For the reasons stated in the interlocutory application, the delay is condoned.
6. Interlocutory Application No. 05 of 2023 stands allowed.
7. List this case under appropriate heading on 12.02.2026.
