PATNA HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON MANRUPA DEVI V/S THE STATE OF BIHAR, THROUGH THE LAND ACQUISITION OFFICER CASE

PATNA, India, Jan. 23 -- Patna High Court issued the following order on Dec. 18,2025:

In the High Court of Judicature at Patna, First Appeal No. 333 of 1980.

Vijay Kumar Singh, son of Late Kamta Prasad, resident of New Eiya, M.G. Road, Erka House, Police Station Kutumba, District Aurangabad, is appellant no. 1.

Gita Devi, wife of Shyam Narayan and daughter of Late Manrupa Kuer, resident of Village Mahesh Parshi, Post Gore Kati, Police Station Uphara, District Aurangabad, is appellant no. 2.

Bhupendra Kumar Singh, husband of Late Asha Devi and son of Late Manrupa Devi, resident of Village Bajrang Nagar, behind C.D. School, Ward No. 27, Jhumritilaiya, Post and Police Station Jhumritilaiya, District Koderma, Pin Code 825409, Jharkhand, is appellant no. 3.

Davesh Narayan, son of Bhupendra Kumar Singh, resident of Village Bajrang Nagar, behind C.D. School, Ward No. 27, Jhumritilaiya, Post and Police Station Jhumritilaiya, District Koderma, Pin Code 825409, Jharkhand, is appellant no. 4.

Sweta Kumari, daughter of Bhupendra Kumar Singh, resident of Village Bajrang Nagar, behind C.D. School, Ward No. 27, Jhumritilaiya, Post and Police Station Jhumritilaiya, District Koderma, Pin Code 825409, Jharkhand, is appellant no. 5.

The State of Bihar, through the Land Acquisition Officer, Aurangabad, is the respondent.

Mr. Krishna Pd. Singh, Advocate, appeared on behalf of the appellants. Mr. J.C. to G.P. IV appeared on behalf of the respondent.

The matter was placed before the Honourable Mr. Justice Chandra Prakash Singh.
