PATNA, India, June 11 -- Patna High Court issued the following order on May 13:

1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Special P.P. for the Vigilance and learned APP for the State.

2. The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of her arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in sum and substance, the allegation against the petitioner is that she secured appointment as Teacher based on forged certificate. It is next submitted that petitioner came to be implicated based on an inquiry conducted behind her back. It is further submitted that had an opportunity been given to the petitioner to explain her side of the case, perhaps the FIR would not have been instituted. It is also submitted that petitioner will not abscond rather will cooperate in the investigation to establish her innocence.

3. Learned Special P. P. opposes the anticipatory bail application.

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner, above-named, in the event of her arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks, is directed to be released on bail on her furnishing bail-bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Motihari, East Champaran in connection with Chakiya P. S. Case No.309 of 2024, subject to the conditions laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.

6. The application stands allowed.
