PATNA, India, May 29 -- Patna High Court issued the following order on May 1:
Today, the matter has been listed under the heading "To be Mentioned" at the instance of the petitioner for grant of provisional bail to the petitioner for a period of four weeks on the ground of his sister's marriage ceremony.
2. In compliance of the order dated 29.04.2025, learned APP has submitted a communication received from the SHO concerned which states that the marriage ceremony of the petitioner's sister has to be solemnized on 05.05.2025.
3. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Motihari Town P.S. Case No. 687 of 2024 instituted for the offences punishable under Sections 318(4), 303(2), 3(5) of the BNS.
4. Considering the factum of the marriage of the petitioner's sister, without going into merits of the case, this Court grants provisional bail to the petitioner for a period of two weeks from today on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Court below/concerned court in connection with Motihari Town P.S. Case No. 687 of 2024. On completion of the stipulated period, the petitioner shall surrender in the Court below and submit a surrender certificate before this Court.
5. Accordingly, I.A. No. 1 of 2025 is allowed.
6. List this case on 17.06.2025 under appropriate heading along with surrender certificate.
