PATNA, India, Sept. 10 -- Patna High Court issued the following judgment on Aug. 13:

The present MJC-contempt petition is arising out of order dated 11.02.2022 passed in CWJC No. 1754 of 2022. Limited direction ordered by the co-ordinate bench that the petitioner to submit representation within a period of four weeks from 11.02.2022. The petitioner has submitted representation on 07.03.2022. Thereafter the concerned authority was required to consider the grievance of the petitioner within a period of four months. Four months elapsed on 06.07.2022.

2. For non compliance, the present MJC was filed on 27.12.2022. The respondents have taken their own sweet time to comply the order of this Court on 11.08.2025. Prima facie they have committed contempt of court. 3. Be that as it may, petitioner is entitled to litigation cost and it is quantified at Rs. 10,000/-. Cost shall be paid to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order, for belated compliance, for more than two years.

4. In the light of these facts and circumstances, the MJCcontempt petition stands dropped.
