PATNA, India, July 1 -- Patna High Court issued the following judgment on June 27:

Heard the parties.

2. The present application came to be filed for initiating a contempt proceeding against the opposite parties for their willful and deliberate disobedience of order dated 24.11.2022, passed in C.W.J.C. No. 12126 of 2021, whereby this Court allowed the writ petition with a direction to the respondent authorities to ensure payment of rest of the retiral benefits of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks.

3. A supplementary show-cause affidavit has been filed on behalf of opposite party no.5. It is categorically averred that in compliance of order of this Court, vide Memo No. 1685 dated 13.02.2025, the department has sanctioned Rs.1,91,939/- for payment of due salary of the petitioner

4. Mr. Venkatesh Kirti, learned Advocate for the State submits at the Bar that all the retiral benefits, as also the amount, as has been disclosed in para.5 of the supplementary show-cause affidavit, has been credited in the account of the petitioner.

5. Considering the averments made in the supplementary show-cause affidavit and the submissions advanced by the learned Advocate for the State, the present contempt application stands dismissed.
