PATNA, India, Oct. 3 -- Patna High Court issued the following judgment on Sept. 4:
Heard Mr. Yash Mathur, learned Advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Saurav Kumar, learned Advocate representing the State.

At the outset, learned Advocate for the petitioner submitted that after invoking the jurisdiction of this Court seeking a direction upon the concerned respondents to ensure payment of stipend to the petitioner, who has done her internship at Patna Medical College and Hospital, Patna after being selected for Rotatory Internship Training at Patna Medical College and Hospital, Patna and for a direction upon the respondent authorities to return Rs.10,000/- which has been taken as internship fees by the PMCH, Patna; the stipend of the petitioner for the period 05.07.2023 to 31.08.2023 has been paid by the Superintendent, PMCH, Patna through Memo No. 613 dated 19.02.2024.
3. It is the contention of the petitioner that despite the specific direction given by this Court in identically situated writ petitions, the petitioner has not been refunded the security amount of Rs.10,000/- which was taken as internship fees by the PMCH, Patna.
4. Learned Advocate for the State has submitted that an amount of Rs. 10,000/- shall be returned as soon as the application shall be received from the petitioner.
5. Considering the limited grievance of the petitioner and the line of the decisions rendered by the learned co-ordinate Benches of this Court in identical matters, this Court directs the Superintendent, PMCH, Patna to ensure payment of Rs.10,000/-, which has been taken as internship fees from the petitioner, preferably within a period of two weeks, on receipt of the application along with this order of this Court, if the same has not been paid till date.
6. The writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
