PATNA, India, Oct. 31 -- Patna High Court issued the following judgment on Oct. 10:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing for respondent-State.

2. With the consent of the parties, the present writ application is being disposed of at this stage itself.

3. After advancing some argument, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for the relief as claimed for in the present writ application, the petitioner has already filed several representations, one of them being dated 14.02.2023 at Page-18 of the writ application, which is addressed to the District Magistrate, Buxar and the same continues to be pending till today. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if an appropriate direction could be issued to the District Magistrate, Buxar to dispose of the pending representation of the petitioner dated 14.02.2023 within a fixed time-frame after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

4. To the aforesaid prayer being made by learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel appearing for respondent-State does not have any objection.

5. Considering the limited nature of prayer being made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ application is disposed of directing the District Magistrate, Buxar to dispose of the pending representation of the petitioner dated 14.02.2023 after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of four months from the date of production of a copy of this order. Needless to emphasize that the final order which shall be passed by the District Magistrate, Buxar should be a reasoned and speaking order.

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the present writ application stands disposed of.

7. Pending I.A.(s), if any, will stand disposed of.
