PATNA, India, Nov. 24 -- Patna High Court issued the following judgment on Nov. 1:

Heard the parties.

2. Invoking the extraordinary jurisdiction of this Court, the petitioner has approached this Court for a direction upon the concerned respondents to publish his result of LL.B. Degree course for the academic session 2018-2021 of J.K.T. Law College, Buxar.

3. Learned Advocate for the petitioner submitted that despite the petitioner having successfully passed all the six semester examinations so conducted by the University for the 3 years LL.B. degree course, the result of the petitioner has not been published as yet.

4. It is contended that on the pretext of the petitioner having been shown absent in Paper IV of the 1st Semester, the result of the petitioner has not been published, though the aforesaid fact is wholly incorrect in view of the details submitted by the Centre Superintendent as well as the Principal of the college in question as also the letters submitted by the Principal of the college to the Examination Controller, Veer Kunwar Singh University; both these letters have been brought on record as Annexures-P/5 and P/6.

5. Learned Advocate for the University prays for a short adjournment to seek instruction and apprise this Court with regard to the present position.

6. Having considered the submissions advanced and the materials available on record, especially Annexures-P/5 and P/6, which, prima facie, suggests that the petitioner had appeared in Paper-IV of the 1st Semester and he has been shown to be passed, this Court does not find any reason or occasion to keep the matter pending awaiting the response and, as such, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent No. 5 to look into the matter and publish the result of the petitioner, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, if otherwise no impediment.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
