CUTTACK, India, May 26 -- Orissa High Court issued the following order on April 23:

1. Heard learned counsel for the respective parties.

2. Recorded the submissions of Mr. Tripathy, learned counsel for the petitioners and State. Considering the FIR as at Annexure-1, the Court is inclined to direct the parties to go for a mediation as an element of settlement exists between them.

3. Accordingly, it is ordered.

4. In view of the above, petitioner No.1 and informant, namely, opposite party No.2 are requested to appear before the High Court Mediation Centre, Cuttack on 7th May, 2026 to receive further orders. State is directed to intimate opposite party No.2 regarding the date of mediation fixed by the Court.

5. Awaiting receipt of the mediation report, list the matter on 21st May, 2026 for further orders. In the meantime, State is directed to submit the case diary and others police papers. It is also directed that in order to ensure a successful mediation, the petitioners shall not be taken into custody in connection with Mangalabag P.S Case No.0384 of 2025 corresponding to G.R. Case No.1064 of 2025 pending in the file of learned J.M.F.C. Cuttack till the next date of hearing.

6. List on the date fixed for further orders.

7. Issue urgent certified copy of this order as per rules.
