Union Minister for Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the countrymen, especially farmers, workers, laborers, and women, including the brothers and sisters of the Lakhpati Didi (millionaire sisters), on the occasion of the New Year. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the government is determined to lay a strong foundation for a developed India by empowering villages, the poor, farmers, laborers, youth, and women.

In his message, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that in the new year, efforts will be intensified to increase agricultural production, boost farmers' income, and strengthen rural infrastructure. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that farmers are the nation's food providers, and laborers are the backbone of India's economy, and therefore their prosperity is the government's top priority.

Referring to campaigns like 'Lakhpati Didi', he said that the target has been set to make rural women associated with self-help groups lakhpatis by connecting them with skills, cheap loans and market, so that economically strong families can be created in every village and more than two crore Lakhpati Didis are becoming self-reliant and inspiring other sisters as well.

Shivraj Singh said that in the new year, special emphasis will be laid on further strengthening road, electricity, water, digital connectivity and market facilities through rural development.

In his message, Union Minister Shri Chouhan also said that through the Vikasit Bharat Ji Ram Ji Yojana, along with employment for laborers, women and farmers will also be empowered and rural entrepreneurship will also be promoted.

While wishing a Happy New Year to all the farmers, workers, laborers, sisters, youth and women moving forward towards becoming Lakhpati Didi, he assured that the government will continue to take new steps in their interest.
