India, Dec. 12 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

The sixth contingent from Tamil Nadu has arrived in Kashi to participate in the Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 . This contingent, comprised of women, arrived at Varanasi railway station aboard a special train and received a grand, traditional welcome.

The Tamil delegation was thrilled by the traditional welcome at the station. Many remarked that the spiritual atmosphere in Kashi was unforgettable. The sound of the drum playing filled the entire area with Shiva, clearly demonstrating the cultural unity of Kashi and Tamil Nadu.

According to the program's schedule, the delegates from Tamil Nadu will visit and worship at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham today. They will then visit the banks of the Ganga, the ghats, and the city's major cultural and educational sites. Organizing committee members stated that special programs have been designed to introduce the guests to Kashi's rich heritage, art, culture, and spirituality.

Lakshmi, a member of the group, became emotional upon reaching Kashi. She said, "It was our dream since the beginning to visit Baba Vishwanath. We are very happy to reach Kashi today." Lakshmi said that she never imagined that she would arrive in Kashi in this way. She was seen singing hymns in a South Indian language with other women. She said, "We thank Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji that the people of our state are getting the opportunity to visit the major temples of Uttar Pradesh. Kashi and South India have a very old relationship."
