India, June 13 -- The Government of India has issued a release:
Northern Coalfields Limited ( NCL ) , a Government of India subsidiary based in Singrauli , is continuously promoting sustainable and inclusive development in Singrauli , Sonbhadra and surrounding areas through its CSR initiatives .
In particular , over the past 12 years , NCL has accomplished significant social welfare initiatives . CSR expenditures were Rs. 39 crore in 2013-14 , significantly increasing to Rs. 146 crore in 2025-26 . Over the past 12 years , NCL has spent Rs. 1,370 crore on sustainable social development in the Singrauli region , bringing positive change to the lives of approximately 1 million people through various public welfare initiatives .
The company 's CSR firsts operating in Singrauli , Sonbhadra and surrounding areas under the direction of the Ministry of Coal , Government of India are realizing the goal of inclusive and sustainable development . They are bringing remarkable changes in the first Singrauli area in areas like education , health , empowerment of persons with disabilities , environmental protection , skill development , clean drinking water , infrastructure construction and rural livelihood . Becoming a strong foundation of trust , development and public welfare in the golden journey of the last 12 years , NCL 's 12 major CSR initiatives are as follows :
1) Mining education will get a new dimension
As part of its CSR initiative , NCL is providing financial support to the Institute of Mining Technology , being established in Singrauli at a cost of approximately Rs. 76 crore . The institute will provide quality mining engineering education tailored to the industrial needs of the region . The institute will be managed by the Directorate of Technical Education , Bhopal .
2 ) Strong rehabilitation centre for the disabled
The District Divyang Rehabilitation Center operated by NCL is playing a complementary role in realizing the goals of the Central and State Governments to empower the disabled and integrate them into the mainstream of society . Through this centre , NCL is making meaningful efforts to make the disabled people of Singrauli , ( Madhya Pradesh ), Sonbhadra ( Uttar Pradesh ) and Surajpur ( Chhattisgarh ) self - reliant . Around 2,000 disabled persons are benefiting from speech therapy , physiotherapy , essential counseling , prosthetic devices and other rehabilitation services every year under this CSR initiative of the company .
3) ' Charak ' scheme has become a support for people suffering from serious / life-threatening diseases .
NCL through its CSR initiative ' Charak - Community Health : A Responsive Action for KoylaNchal ' is providing free treatment to the people residing in the operational area of the company ( Singrauli region ) who are suffering from identified serious / life - threatening diseases like Cancer , TB , HIV , Heart Disease , Kidney Transplant etc. and are economically weak .
अभी तक कुल Rs.8.50 करोड़ के प्रावधान के साथ संचालित इस परियोजना के अंतर्गत जीवन-घातक बीमारियों से पीड़ित 13 मरीजों को वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान की जा चुकी है।
4) काशी में बना आधुनिक वृद्धाश्रम
एनसीएल द्वारा वाराणसी में 24.76 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से 100 बिस्तरों वाले अत्याधुनिक वृद्धाश्रम का निर्माण कराया गया है, जिसका उद्घाटन स्वयं माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी द्वारा किया गया। वरिष्ठ नागरिकों के लिए निर्मित यह सुविधा आश्रयहिन वृद्धजनों को सुरक्षित, सम्मानजनक एवं गुणवत्तापूर्ण आवास तथा देखभाल उपलब्ध कराएगी। वृद्धाश्रम की देखभाल समाज कल्याण, अनुसूचित जाति एवं जनजाति कल्याण मंत्रालय, उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार की निगरानी में हो रही है।
5) हरित सीएसआर के माध्यम से पर्यावरण संवर्धन
एनसीएल ने हरित सीएसआर पहलों के माध्यम से स्थानीय परिक्षेत्र की गोपद और मयार नदियों के कैचमेंट क्षेत्र की सफाई, चेक डैम और परकोलेशन डैम निर्माण जैसी गतिविधियों पर 9.53 करोड़ रुपये व्यय कर जल संरक्षण और भूजल स्तर सुधार की दिशा में उल्लेखनीय कार्य किया है। इस परियोजना से क्षेत्र में जल उपलब्धता बढ़ाने और मिट्टी कटाव रोकने में सहायता मिली है।
6) सीएसआर पहल 'कौशल' के माध्यम से रोजगार सृजन
सिंगरौली के आईटीआई वैढ़न तथा सोनभद्र के आईटीआई दुद्धी के विकास पर एनसीएल ने 3.86 करोड़ रूपये खर्च किए हैं। विभिन्न तकनीकी ट्रेडों में प्रशिक्षण के माध्यम से 1,350 से अधिक युवाओं, महिलाओं और परियोजना प्रभावित परिवारों को रोजगारोन्मुखी प्रशिक्षण दिया गया है।
7) आदिवासी बच्चों को मिल रही गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा
सोनभद्र स्थित सेवा कुंज आश्रम, चपकी में एनसीएल द्वारा किए गए समग्र विकास कार्यों से लगभग 300 आदिवासी एवं वंचित वर्ग के विद्यार्थियों को लाभ मिल रहा है। परियोजना के अंतर्गत ऑडिटोरियम, इंडोर स्पोर्ट्स और तीरंदाजी प्रशिक्षण जैसी आधुनिक सुविधाएँ विकसित की गई हैं।
8) स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं को मिला आधुनिक उपकरणों का संबल
एनसीएल ने होमी भाभा कैंसर अस्पताल तथा महामना पंडित मदन मोहन मालवीय कैंसर केंद्र, वाराणसी सहित प्रमुख चिकित्सा संस्थानों को आधुनिक उपकरण उपलब्ध कराने के लिए 14 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की सहायता प्रदान की है। इस पहल से अब तक लगभग 2,800 मरीज लाभान्वित हुए हैं।
9) 'नन्हा-सा-दिल-एनसीएल' से जन्मजात हृदय रोग से पीड़ित बच्चों को मिल रहा जिंदगी का उपहार
जन्मजात हृदय रोग से पीड़ित बच्चों के उपचार हेतु संचालित 'नन्हा-सा-दिल-एनसीएल' परियोजना के तहत सिंगरौली, सोनभद्र और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में 38,000 से अधिक बच्चों की स्क्रीनिंग की गई है। अब तक 240 बच्चों की निःशुल्क हृदय शल्य चिकित्सा कराई जा चुकी है।
10) रीवा में गैस्ट्रोएंटरोलॉजी सेवाओं को मजबूती
एनसीएल द्वारा सीएसआर के तहत, 'श्याम शाह मेडिकल कॉलेज', रीवा में गैस्ट्रोएंटरोलॉजी यूनिट के विकास हेतु लगभग 6 करोड़ रुपये की वित्तिय सहायता प्रदान की गई है।
11) 'स्मॉल होल्डर्स पोल्ट्री परियोजना' से स्थानीय महिलाएं बन रही आत्मनिर्भर
एनसीएल की 'स्मॉल होल्डर्स पोल्ट्री परियोजना' आदिवासी परिवारों, विशेषकर महिलाओं की आर्थिक स्थिति सुधारने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही है। इस योजना से अब तक 1,050 आदिवासी परिवार
लाभान्वित हुए हैं और बैकवर्ड लिंकेज से 1,500 अतिरिक्त परिवारों को निकट भविष्य में लाभ मिलेगा।
12) चितरंगी में 10 हजार से अधिक घरों का विद्युतीकरण
एनसीएल द्वारा सीएसआर के तहत, चितरंगी ब्लॉक में 10,253 घरों का विद्युतीकरण किया गया है,, जिससे लगभग 40,000 लोगों के जीवन स्तर में सुधार आया है।
विश्वास, विकास और जनकल्याण के संकल्प पर सदैव अटल एनसीएल
एनसीएल की ये परियोजनाएँ केवल बुनियादी सुविधाएँ उपलब्ध कराने तक सीमित नहीं हैं, बल्कि क्षेत्र के सामाजिक-आर्थिक परिवर्तन का आधार बन रही हैं। खदानों से निकलने वाली ऊर्जा से देश को रोशन करने और अपनी सामाजिक पहलों से जन-जन के चेहरों पर मुस्कान लाने का यह 12 साल का सफर यह भरोसा देता है कि एनसीएल की प्राथमिकता में स्थानीय समुदाय का विश्वास, विकास और जनकल्याण सदैव शामिल रहेंगे।
