The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri. Durgadas Uikey informed in Lok Sabha today that Department of Telecommunications through Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) has approved various mobile projects to provide 4G Mobile connectivity in identified uncovered villages including tribal dominated villages of the country. Followings are the details of DBN funded mobile projects in Sasaram Lok Sabha Constituency containing Kaimur and Rohtas districts of Bihar, as on 30.06.2026:

The Sasaram Lok Sabha Constituency in Bihar comprises parts of Rohtas and Kaimur (Bhabua) districts. The list of the 12 villages in the Sasaram Lok Sabha Constituency that are uncovered by 4G mobile services, across the two constituent districts, is as under:

The Government is committed to achieve saturation of telecom connectivity in underserved tribal areas. Under Pm-JANMAN, telecom connectivity is being implemented by the Department of Telecommunication (DoT) through the 4G saturation scheme, with the objective of providing mobile connectivity to uncovered villages/habitations, including those inhabited by PVTGs.PM-JANMAN envisages saturation of basic facilities, including telecom connectivity, within the mission period of three years.
The Progress of implementation is monitored by the Department of Telecommunications/Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) in coordination with the concerned telecom service Providers (TSPs), sate Governments and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Progress is reviewed through periodic monitoring, MIS/reporting mechanism and the PM Gati Shakti/PM-JANMAN dashboards, and field level gaps are taken up with the concerned implementing agencies for timely resolution. DoT also monitors rural coverage and inclusion of uncovered villages in the 4G saturation projects.
