MEGHALAYA HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON SHRI. SENGMAN M.SANGMA V/S SHRI. BANTEILANG J. KHARSHANDI AND ANR.

SHILLONG, India, May 16 -- Meghalaya High Court issued the following judgment/order on April 15:

1. This is an application for impleadment of the Smti. Isawanda Laloo, IAS, Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Personnel & A.R.(B) Department as party respondent in the Contempt application.

2. Mr. P.T.Sangma, learned counsel for the applicant submits that the party sought to be impleaded is necessary in view of the fact that the case for consideration of the petitioner is lying in the said Department.

3. Mr. K.P.Bhattacharjee, learned GA appearing on behalf of the respondents No. 1 & 2 (Education Department) in the main contempt application, submits that the direction of the Court from the side of the Education Department has been complied with.

4. The same is noted.

5. In consideration of the prayer of the applicant, Smti. Isawanda Laloo, IAS, Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Personnel & A.R.(B) Department is impleaded as respondent No. 3 in the contempt application.

6. Registry to make necessary corrections in the cause title.

7. Misc. case is allowed and disposed of.
