SHILLONG, India, May 16 -- Meghalaya High Court issued the following judgment/order on April 15:

1. Mr. T. Dkhar, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that due to certain other developments, he prays that he may be allowed to withdraw the instant application with liberty to file afresh.

2. Mr. S. Marpan, learned counsel for the respondents Nos. 1 to 4, and Mr. K. Paul, learned Senior counsel for the respondent No. 6, though not objecting to the withdrawal of the writ petition, has raised reservations with regard to the liberty that may be granted.

3. This Court has heard the learned counsel for the parties. It is noted that this matter has been revived by virtue of the Review application, being allowed by order dated 12.03.2026. Though objections have been raised by the learned counsel for the respondents, however as the matter is purely on a point of law, in the interest of justice, the withdrawal is allowed with liberty as prayed.

4. The writ petition stands closed and is accordingly disposed of.
