SHILLONG, India, April 18 -- Meghalaya High Court issued the following judgment/order on March 17:

Considering the nature of the proceedings pending between the parties and the relationship between them, when suggested, both, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the respondent, on instructions of their respective clients, agree to go in for mediation.

Accordingly, Mrs Banashri Gogoi is appointed as a Mediator. Parties to appear before the Mediator on 23rd March, 2026 at 5 p.m., after which the Mediator to give dates convenient to her and the parties.

Needless to state, that all parties are to extend all possible cooperation with the Mediator.

Learned counsel for the petitioners on instruction, agrees to pay Rs. 10,000/- to the respondent to enable her to appear before the Mediator, on the dates on which she is required to come to Guwahati from Tura for mediation. The said amount to be paid at least within 48 hours before the date of mediation directly into the bank account of the respondent being SBI A/c No. 20200367994.

The Mediator is requested to submit her report to this Court on the next date.

Stand over to 15th April, 2026.
