SHILLONG, India, May 19 -- Meghalaya High Court issued the following April 17:

1. Mr. M.L. Nongpiur, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that pursuant to this Court's order dated 26.03.2026, the petitioners have deposited the amount before the concerned authorities, and the receipt issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, acknowledging such deposit, has also been placed before this Court today, the same is brought on record and marked as Annexure-X.

2. In view of such developments, the learned counsel has submitted that nothing survives in this petition, the same may be disposed of accordingly with a direction to the Regional Director (NER), Guwahati or the Registrar of Companies for that matter, to complete the procedure before the Trial Court that is, for withdrawal of the related complaint.

3. Mr. R. Debnath, learned CGC appearing on behalf of the respondent/ROC, has admitted that the said amount due and payable by the petitioners company has indeed been deposited and the receipt produced before this Court has reflected the said action taken. Therefore, there is no resistant to the disposal of this case at this juncture.

4. It is the further submission of the learned CGC that necessary steps will be taken by the Regional Director (NER), Guwahati or the Registrar of Companies to ensure that the complaint against the petitioners herein before the Trial Court is withdrawn.

5. On consideration of the submission made, this Court is in agreement with the submission made by the learned counsels, and would also acknowledge the fact that the dispute between the parties have been essentially resolved on the basis of the said deposit of the amount reflected in the receipt issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

6. Without going into the merits of this case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the Regional Director (NER), Guwahati/Registrar of Companies to take necessary steps as far as the complaint before the Trial Court is concerned, such steps to be taken within 4(four) weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

7. No order as to costs.
