MEGHALAYA HIGH COURT ISSUES JUDGEMENT ON ABAN MOMIN AND ANR. V/S GARO HILLS AUTONOMOUS DISTRICT COUNCIL AND ORS.

SHILLONG, India, April 18 -- Meghalaya High Court issued the following judgment/order on March 17:

Pursuant to the order dated 13th February, 2026, Mr K.C. Gautam, learned counsel states that he has instruction to appear on behalf of the appellant No. 2. He states that he does not dispute the fact that the appellant No. 1 has expired. Infact, the police of the Williamnagar Police Station, East Garo Hills, Meghalaya, has submitted a report stating therein, that the appellant No. 1 - late Aban Momin has expired on 29th March, 2025.

A copy of the Death Certificate is eclosed with the said report. On the request of the learned counsel appearing for the appellant No. 2, stand over to 10th April, 2026.
