IMPHAL, India, Feb. 14 -- Manipur High Court issued the following order on Jan. 14:

[1] Heard Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned sr. counsel assisted by Mr. Thomas Laishram, learned counsel for the petitioner.

[2] The petitioner association is challenging the impugned order dated 05.12.2024 issued by Commissioner (Cooperation), Govt. of Manipur declaring Ukhrul District Taxi Welfare Association and Imphal-Ukhrul Road Zonal Taxi Association are legitimate registered societies with distinct nomenclature. It is stated that the impugned order is passed in clear violation of the direction of this Court and in contrary to the order dated 03.09.2024 passed in W.P. (C) No. 13 of 2020 and the representation submitted by the petitioner.

[3] Issue notice.

[4] Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned GA accepts notice on behalf of respondent nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 and Mr. Lungmi Ragui, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondent no. 6 without Caveat. Hence, service is complete on the respondents.

[5] Petitioner is undertake to supply a copy of the petition to the learned counsel for the respondent no. 6.

[6] The learned counsel for the respondents prays for 3(three) week's time for filing counter affidavit.
