MANIPUR HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON THOKCHOM BEBINA DEVI V/S RISHIKUMAR SORAISAM AND 2 ORS.

IMPHAL, India, Feb. 14 -- Manipur High Court issued the following order on Jan. 14:

Mr. N. Ibotombi, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. Th. Ningtamba, learned counsel appeared for the petitioner, Mr. K. Roshan, learned counsel appeared on behalf of respondent No. 2 and Mr. S. Nepolean, learned senior counsel (GA) assisted by Mr. W. Niranjit, learned counsel appeared on behalf of respondent No. 3.

None appeared for respondent No. 4.

It has been submitted at the bar that the respondent No. 1 is the contesting respondent in the present writ petition.

As neither the respondent No. 1 nor his counsel is before this Court today, no adverse order is passed in the interest of justice.

In order to give one last opportunity to the respondent No. 1 and his counsel, let these cases be listed again on 17.02.2026 for final disposal.

It is made clear that in the event, if the respondent No. 1 or his counsel is absent on the next date of hearing, the matter will be proceeded ex-parte and disposed of.

Earlier interim order shall continue till the next date.
