MANIPUR HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON STATE OF MANIPUR AND ANR. V/S CHINGANGBAM PATESHORI DEVI AND ANR.

IMPHAL, India, May 1 -- Manipur High Court issued the following order on March 30:

[1] Captioned matters are listed under the cause list caption 'FOR MEDIATION REPORT'.

[2] Communication from High Court Legal Services Committee, to the Registrar of this Court being communication dated 17.04.2026 being bearing reference No. HCLSC/Med/2-2024/1170 is before this Court and it is seen from the same that mediation is unsuccessful.

[3] Mr. I. Amri, learned counsel for State appellants and Mr. M. Rustam, learned counsel for respondent No.1 are before us in the physical Court. Mr. S. Suresh, learned counsel for respondent No.2 is before this Court on the Video Conferencing (VC) platform.

[4] All the counsel confirmed that mediation was unsuccessful and all the counsel submit that matters may have to be heard out on merits.
