MANIPUR HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON NINGTHOUJAM LOLI SINGH AND 6 ORS V/S ATHIKHO CHALAI AND 2 ORS

IMPHAL, India, March 4 -- Manipur High Court issued the following order on Feb. 2:

Present Mr.S.Rupachandra, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr.Shahudur Rahman, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.Suresh, learned counsel for respondent No.1, Mr.N.Ibotombi, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr.A.Rommel, learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3.

MC (Rev Pet) No.24 of 2025, for early hearing is disposed of as infructuous.

MC (Rev Pet) Nos.32 and 33 of 2025 have been filed by respondent Nos.2 and 3, questioning the maintainability of review petition against the order of closure of contempt petition.

Mr.S.Suresh, learned counsel for respondent No.1 submits that he is not filing any written objection but he is also raising the question of maintainability of review petition against closure of contempt petition.

Heard learned counsel for the parties on the question of maintainability.

Order reserved. Parties may submit case laws, if any, within one week.
