IMPHAL, India, Feb. 9 -- Manipur High Court issued the following order on Jan. 7:
[1] Heard Mr. BP Sahu, learned sr. counsel assisted by Mr. DP Sahu, learned counsel for the petitioners.
[2] The 14 nos. of petitioner have been reduced in rank by the common impugned order dated 31.10.2025 issued by Commandant, Home Guard, Manipur. It is stated that the petitioners are working as Home Guard and the impugned order dated 31.10.2025 has been issued without following the procedures prescribed by the applicable service rules. It is also pointed out that some Home Guard personnel earlier approached this Court by way of W.P. (C) No. 1014 of 2025 and vide order dated 19.12.2025, this Court stayed the impugned order dated 31.10.2025.
[3] Issue notice.
[4] Mr. S. Niranjan, learned GA accepts notice on behalf of the respondent nos. 1, 2 & 3. Hence, service is complete on the respondents.
[5] The learned GA prays for 3(three) week's time for filing counter affidavit.
[6] It is clarified that the interim order dated 31.10.2025 passed in W.P. (C) No. 1014 of 2025 will be applicable to the present petition as it was a general order staying the impugned order.
[7] List these cases before appropriate roster bench on 02.02.2026 along with W.P. (C) No. 1014 of 2025.
