IMPHAL, India, March 8 -- Manipur High Court issued the following order on Feb. 6:
Ms. Lekhakumari, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no. 5 seeks 3(three) weeks' time for filing counter affidavit.
This prayer is vehemently objected to by Mr. Ajoy Pebam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners by submitting that ample opportunity has been given to respondent no. 5 for filing counter affidavit.
Be that as it may, as the appointment order of the respondent no. 5 has been assailed in this writ petition, the respondent no. 5 is given 3(three) weeks' time as a last chance for filing counter affidavit. It is made clear that no further chance will be given to the respondent no. 5 for filing counter affidavit after the next date.
As prayed for, list these cases on 26.03.2026.
Mr. Nongdamba, learned counsel appeared on behalf of the respondent nos. 1 to 4.
