SHILLONG, India, April 6 -- Meghalaya High Court issued the following judgment/order on March 5:

By this petition, the petitioners have essentially impugned the orders dated 5th July, 2024, issuing summons to the petitioner and consequently, the entire criminal proceeding i.e., Cr. Case No. 13 of 2024 and the order dated 31st January, 2025, by which the petitioners' application questioning the maintainability of the complaint was dismissed.

In addition, the petitioners have also impugned the FIR dated 6th December, 2023.

As far as the FIR is concerned, learned Senior counsel for the petitioners seeks leave to amend to delete the said prayer, in view of the submission made by the learned GA that no FIR was registered, since it was found that the dispute was civil in nature.

Amendment to be carried out forthwith during the course of the day.

Stand over to 19th March, 2026.
