JABALPUR, India, Jan. 3 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on Dec. 2:
1. Petitioner by this Public Interest Litigation, seeks a direction to the State Government to take action inter alia of registration of an FIR in respect of alleged siphoning of food grain and kerosene oil supplied to Public Distribution Shops.
2. Learned Deputy Advocate General appearing for the State submits that a Joint Inquiry Committee had looked into the allegations even prior to filing of the petition had taken a decision to register an FIR, and consequently, an FIR has been lodged on 04.09.2025 and action has been initiated against some officers. He further submits that in case, there are further officers found involved, appropriate action in accordance with law shall also be taken against them.
3. In view of the above assurance, no further orders are called for in the petition. The petition, is accordingly, disposed of.
