MADHYA PRADESH HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON SMT. KAVITA SINGH V/S THE COLLECTOR CUM ARBITRATOR

JABALPUR, India, Aug. 27 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on July 28:

1. Petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent - Collector-cumArbitrator, Land Acquisition, National Highway-75, Sidhi, District Sidhi to decide the pending application, which has been pending since the year 2022.

2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that the land of the petitioner has been acquired, however, petitioner has not been compensated in accordance with law.

3. Keeping in view the fact that the proceedings have been pending before the Collector since the year 2022, we dispose of this petition with a direction to the respondent-Collector to expedite the proceedings and conclude the same preferably within a period of two months from today.
