MADHYA PRADESH HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON SHAILENDRA VERMA AND OTHERS V/S THE STATE BAR COUNCIL OF MADHYA PRADESH JABALPUR AND OTHERS

JABALPUR, India, March 8 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on Feb. 5:

Head on I.A.No.455 of 2026 - an application for modification of order dated 19.12.2026.

This is an application on behalf of State Bar Council seeking enlargement of time for the purpose of completing the process for appointment of the Secretary of the State Bar Council.

Reliance is placed on the resolution dated 13.01.2026, which clarifies that as of now there is no requirement for the post of Assistant Secretary. Accordingly, the State Bar Council has decided to only invite applications for the post of Secretary and not to appoint anyone on the post of Assistant Secretary. Statement is taken on record and in view of the fact that the advertisement has already been issued for the appointment of the post of Secretary, the period granted by order dated 19.12.2025 is extended till 31.03.2026.

I.A.No.455 of 2026 is disposed of in the above terms.
