JABALPUR, India, Feb. 14 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following Jan. 12:
1. Appellant impugns the order dated 25.08.2025, whereby the direction was issued to respondent - Transport Authority to decide the application of respondent no.4 for grant of a Regular Stage Carriage Permit within a period of one month.
2. Learned counsel for appellant submits that though a period of one month was prescribed by the Court to decide the application of respondent no.4, the same is not yet been decided. He submits that the impugned order notes that till the time the application is decided, the temporary permits issued in favour of respondent no.4 shall continue to hold force. He submits that in view of the temporary permit continuing, the respondent no.4 is not cooperating application to be finally decided.
3. We note that appellant was not a party to the writ petition, however it contends to be an existing operator. As per the learned counsel for appellant, the appellant is affected by grant of permit to respondent no.4.
4. Without commenting on the locus of the appellant to file the present appeal, we disposed of this appeal noticing the fact that one month period was granted to Transport Authority to decide the application of respondent no.4. The Transport Authority shall decide the application within a period of 15 days from today, if not already decided.
5. It would be open to the appellant to file his objection before the Authority, if permissible in law.
