JABALPUR, India, April 26 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on March 25:

Subject petition has been filed by the petitioner as a habeas corpus petition. The averments made in the petition is that petitioner wishes to marry with the corpus who is alleged to be in wrongful confinement of her father. No material has been placed by the petitioner on record that the corpus is in wrongful confinement or even being detained by her parents. The only averment is that the corpus was earlier in contact with the petitioner and now the petitioner wishes to marry her. The corpus is a young girl aged about 26 years. Since, no material has been placed on record by the petitioner that the girl is in any wrongful confinement, we are of the view that proceedings further in the matter is likely to harass the corpus and cause adverse impression about her in the locality and friends. We are not inclined to even issue notice in the matter. Consequently, petition is dismissed.
