MADHYA PRADESH HIGH COURT ISSUES JUDGEMENT ON GULAB SINGH CHADHAR (DIED ) THROUGH LEGAL HEIRS PREM NARAYAN V/S NATIONAL HIGHWAY AUTHORITY OF INDIA AND OTHERS

JABALPUR, India, Jan. 19 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on Dec. 17:

This is a petition contending that the Collector, who is the Arbitrator, who has to decide the application under section 3(G)(5) of the National Highway Act, 1956 is sitting over the matter is not finally deciding the same.

In view of the fact that an innocuous prayer made in the petition, the petition is disposed of directing the Collector to decide the application under Section 3(G)(5) of the National Highway Act, 1956 filed by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from today.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
